Like all enterprises, fabricating molds has to adapt to changes in technology and to the new demands of customers. These days the market demands multifunctionality and superior quality. To make these features a reality in the molds that our company produces we are constantly striving to go beyond the limitations of today's thinking and produce the products that our customers will need tomorrow.
Sakamoto Tool and Die's headquarters and main factory in Osaka Prefecture is a model fo modern industrial production methods, design expertise and engineering skill. The 130 company employees at this site include management level personnel along with design staff and engineers. We rely on a talented and experienced staff to come up with the new concepts and designs that will produce those superior quality products on which our company's future depends. To assist them in this effort we have given them the technological tools that they need in order to rapidly turn their ideas into designs that can then become actual products. This combination of a superior staff and state of the art equipment at our main factory is what has allowed us to lead the way in the mold-making industry with our "Integral Hybrid Molding Technology."

Our Shiga Factory: A Plant that Works in Tandem with Our Headquarters

Our brand new Shiga factory, about 100 kilometers from our headquarters, lies in a beautiful green region of Shiga Prefecture. This modern plant boasts many state of the art machine tools. We made every effort to make this model factory; we put our new facility in an ideal location and then put into it the advanced equipment that we needed to produce our products. The Shiga factory takes the lead in the production of larger scale molds, utilizing 850 and 1600 ton injection machines and modern technology such as machining centers, electrical discharge machines, etc. described on page 13 needed for this purpose.
Our two plants, on in Osaka and one in Shiga, are located separately and have separate responsibilities but work efficiently together to produce a superior product; from small class molds needing high precision to middle-large class molds. Our nearly 200 company employees work as a team that identifies customers' need, designs the products that they require, and then produces them quickly so that we can deliver on time or even earlier.
